Rural 2 Rural Career Guidance 2019

Influence Africa Group has been hosting Rural 2 Rural Career Guidance Roadshow program since 2015, throughout the nine provinces in South Africa. The Rural 2 Rural Career Guidance Roadshow program empowers the youth from townships and rural areas in one manner that counts: education. For the first time this year, the program prioritizes Umlazi township.  Ayanda Mafuleka, the CEO from Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority, known as Fasset, a female leader passionate about making a difference within our community, with a particular focus for HDIs says that this is a step in the right direction.

Fasset, in association with Influence Africa Group, is hosting Rural 2 Rural Career Guidance Roadshow program. In a time when South Africa faces unemployment crisis with over 55% of our youth being unemployed in a country whose highest population numbers are the youth, the road show presents a piece of eye-opening information encouraging our youth to look beyond being employed, teaching them about scarce skills. Fasset empowers the youth through learnerships, apprenticeship, and bursaries.

The Rural 2 Rural Career Guidance Roadshow program would visit the high schools listed below:

We are reaching out to the youth through newspaper articles, radio interviews and social media.
“Our future lies on the shoulders of the youth; we all need to play a role in grooming strong, knowledgeable, self-reliant leaders.” Ayanda Mafuleka says.
