Meet Accent:The National School of Arts' young talented man with great potential.

 ACCENT
Millicent S'Vuyile Luthuli aka Accent  is a hip hop and RnB artist. HAccent'se is a grade 11 student in The National School of Arts. Accent's previous schools are Jai Hind Primary and Roseville Secondary School. When we ask him if it is important that we mention all his schools, he says it is because all his teachers positively impacted on his life. He is a confident, self assured young man because he was well groomed partly by his family and partly by his teachers. He says if we think about it growing children who attend school spend more time with their teachers than their parents. Accent believes that we do not really appreciate teachers as much as we should, and this has to change.

Accent started doing music when he was 14 years old and his first song was titled "Killing With All Of My Flows". Accent's passion is not only in music, he has a flair for acting and TV presenting too. When he heard about the South Coast Mic Check 1 2 Talent Auditions he knew he had to be there. He is grateful that his parents covered his trip, and that his mother accompanied him.  He was not selected as a finalist, but he showcased in the event. "It's the highlight of my year so far, being in that beautiful, professionally set stage. I didn't know it would look so amazing." He says.
Accent invented his own genre which he calls "Tone Sector"  in which singing and rapping naturally using different musical sounds to create exceptional music is the unique selling point for the genre, he says.

Accent is originally from Port Shepstone in KwaZulu Natal. He is the youngest of three siblings. We asked him if he does not get spoiled more than his siblings since he is the youngest, he says not really and smiles brightly.
