Nguwe Wedwa's CEO Mbongeleni Mzimela's next stop: The Green Youth Indaba

3:35 PM (0 minutes ago)
There are two things that set Nguwe Wedwa's CEO Mbongeleni Mzimela's soul on fire: youth development and bringing about positive change. Mbongeleni believes that what differentiates winners from losers is taking action. No one ever got rich by sitting at home and feeling sorry for oneself, he says. Luck favours those who take steps towards achieving something, but what if it's not even luck? What if it's simply taking action, and nothing else other than that? He asks.

Mbongeleni met his now mentor and business partner Mr Sanele Zulu, the CEO and the organiser of the Green Youth Indaba. Both Mbongeleni and Sanele share the passion for community development and upliftment. The Green Youth Indaba is hosted in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology, Energy and Water Seta, Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Seta, Industrial Development Corporation and Standard Bank. The Green Youth Indaba is an annual conference, this year it is  hosted in CSIR Convention Centre in Pretoria, Gauteng on the 18th and the 19th of June.

                                                                                                                 Sanele Zulu

Mbongeleni is attending the Green Youth Indaba this June.  It's a cause he believes is worth sharing and being engaged with. " The Green Youth Indaba creates awareness about the green economy. Our youth needs all the opportunities they can find. The Green Youth Indaba does something unique: it gives our youth an opportunity to be heard. Most platforms do not offer such. It's so empowering and life-changing: being in a space when as a young mind one can put their brilliant idea on the table without anyone negatively judging you. I invite the youth to partake in green youth economy, to join the Green Youth Indaba to gain knowledge about the green economy and business opportunities within that space. I'm also attending to learn more and further develop myself. I'm open to learning all the time and this is the attitude I always encourage youth to adopt. It opens doors. When it comes to knowledge, be a sponge. Absorb all you can. You never know when that knowledge would help you."
